Once the donation transaction is completed, your payment information is automatically deleted from our systems for your utmost privacy and protection. In addition to the aforementioned data, aeffect writes your transaction history to a blockchain. While the entire transaction history of all users is visible, personal data is anonymized. The purpose of this data storage is to allow donation recipients to verify the amount donated to them. These data cannot be deleted, not even by aeffect GmbH itself, ensuring absolute transparency. The use of the DLT public ledger is solely for the purpose of transparency and traceability of donation transactions. Identification of individuals is not possible in this context.
